Yep ! We're still there !
After school football commitments prevented me from getting to tonight's game. Lucky me it seems !
Never mind another defeat, another goalless game, another early goal conceded, another 5 yellow cards and yet another red card - it seems that this was a real gutless performance.
With every passing game ( no pun intended ) Robinson is increasingly exposed. He really is out of his depth. Constantly changing the starting eleven using the same formation and still unable to produce anything more than plucky draws at best.
Maybe the players have now had their fill of the manager too. If so, then matters are even worse than ever.
Those players do need to take a large share of the blame too though as I'm not impressed with anyone wearing our shirt and not giving it their all.
Robinson will no doubt talk a lot as ever without actually saying anything. however, when one calmly analyses our performances and results during his tenure they don't make good reading - possibly with the exception of possession stats !
Our disciplinary record alone has been shocking. I think that's 4 red cards in the last 6 games ? Not far off if not totally accurate.
There are many questions that the manager needs to answer in terms of all of above and you can add to that the recent player recruitment. Da Silva is a case in point - is he just here to warm the bench ?
Some will argue that no manager could enjoy any success under Roly and they have a point. However, I have always felt that Robinson isn't right for our club and wouldn't be successful no matter who owned us.
Robinson aside tonight's dreadful loss played out in front of a pathetic crowd with an atmosphere to match serves to underline just what Duchatelet has brought us to in just 3 years. It further validates the protests in Belgium on 4th March.
I fail to see how anyone can stand up for Roly as the declines continues I really don't know. The only consolation we can take is that each passing day brings us closed to his going.

Subject: Karl (notice how close to Karel his name is!) Robinson
Karl's policy of aggressive play certainly comes at a cost. It's almost expected that we have a player sent off every week.
Thank goodness for Nuget's points, without those we really would be looking over our shoulder's, it's not inconceivable we won't be doing that soon. Robinson mentioned how Nuget won us six points, he did have Lookman in his team which was an advantage, but Robinson's team had some poor performances even with the young starlet.
Karl certainly has plenty to say, but I imagine the players are as sick of his talk as I am. He publicly says he knows what the problem is but can't fix it in the short term, if I was a player I would take that as 'I'm probably out in the summer', if that's what they are thinking the team spirit must be as bad as last season. I wonder who made the decision to appoint Robinson, RD or KM?... every appointment makes is better I think our CEO once said. Hmm!! Wilder must be so pleased he was nicked by the Blades. Let's hope every bad result takes us nearer to ousting our toxic owner, his sidekick and the mouthy manager.
Cheers
Robin
Apologies for the stuff at the top, as you can see I also sent a message to Dr Kish!
DeleteRobin, No worries and thanks for your comment. I fully expected it to be like this with Robinson although hadn't expected the poor disciplinary side of things. Just another aspect of his management that doesn't bode well.
DeletePhil I am not surprised at this. In my experience a cracked record does not play well at all.
ReplyDeleteIndeed not Martin. You must be all MP3 and the like now though surely. No more lugging crates of discs around.
Deleteno mate still vinyl only over 8000 of the things. I only lug about 600 now.
DeleteOk good. Guess that's not you being a Luddite but I believe vinyl is better quality? CAFC more 8 track cartridge eh?
DeleteDepressing times. Agree that the head of the snake needs to be removed to see any long term improvement but if anyone is still under the illusion that Robinson's time in charge has been any more positive than Slade's brief tenure in any way, the stats below make sombre reading.
ReplyDeleteP W D L F A Pts Points/Game Goals/game
Slade 16 4 8 4 18 17 20 1.25 1.13
Robinson 13 3 6 4 14 15 15 1.15 1.08
SA, it's been worse than I thought. I think even his biggest fans are tired of all the talk now. Like most I'm not sure what sacking him would achieve as we're unlikely to get anyone better. Managers of Wilder's calibre won't be coming for sure.

DeleteAnon, done. Robinson isn't the only one who sounds like a broken record. a2c can't be for real can they ? May be in a few years time when a2c surveys a pile of rubble where the Valley once stood he might think " you know what I think they might have had a point ".
DeleteAgree Phil, there is no way is it a fan of CAFC. Obviously a Millwall/Palace fan who gets cheap thrills at trying to antagonise people online. I have seen nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest the contrary.
DeleteI was happy enough with the appointment of Robinson. Even as his mouth ran away with him time and time again, my view was that we needed a manager to turn things around-the talk was just hot air. But now.....
ReplyDeleteHe seems wedded to a formation our players can't fit into, and is unable to adapt his strategy to the players we have, which is very bad in a manager. Worse, an MKD fan has ssid that 4-2-3-1 is all he has. There is no plan B. A win on saturday will calm the nerves, and I don't want another manager change. But KR has me badly worried he is no better thsn the wretched Slade. This could get very messy
Ken Shabby
Sadly I think that's the case Ken. Living in MK I'd heard it all before and so had an insight into what we were getting.

DeleteDefinition of XENOPHOBIA
ReplyDelete1.: fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign
That certainly isn't me or anyone else that indulges in any debate.
Pronounced Zenophobe by the way (surprisingly enough this is what winds me up most about A2C
Definition of BIGOT
1.: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices. Now I wonder who this is.
I notice he doesn't say darn our gaff much now. Maybe he has realised that it isn't our gaff anymore that's the point.
Martin, I'm surprised he hasn't called us all misogynists. One of his comments in which he accused me of being a fake fan made a veiled reference to Trump - perhaps he meant fake tan !
